A B O U T M E , K A T I E L O C K …
Both the nature of this planet and everything other worldly are key inspirations in my artwork, with abstraction, psychedelia and paganism all running through everything that I create. As a “Sandgrown'un” (someone born and raised in Blackpool), I have a deep affinity for the sea - particularly stormy dark weathers.
Throughout my career I have maintained a socially engaged practise of creative facilitation and project management - I love working collaboratively with people to bring about technical and conceptual creative learning. Check out my "workshops” page to learn more.
When not making art I can be found foraging in forests, collecting books on folklore and exploring stone circles. I am currently based in the exciting city of Newcastle upon Tyne.
I’m always keen to work collaboratively on visual communication designs, creating murals or typography, and anything experimental - so please do get in touch!
