W O R K S H O P S
For ten years I have cherished sharing the joy of creativity and collaborating with others to realise their potential - both artistically and also holistically in all that creative expression may provide.
I am deeply committed to creating environments where there is no βright or wrongβ in the creative process, where each individual is seen as the person they are and what they may bring to the table. I can create workshops based off my own artistic practise, or design something tailored for a specific process or product outcome.
Having ran workshops for a wide variety of people within the community such as early years children, elderly stroke survivors and adults with learning disabilities, I ensure accessibility and fun are at the heart of every workshop.
I have completed a Young Person and Adults specialist PGCE, achieving my teacher training placement on a highly esteemed Foundation Diploma course. As such, I can offer complex and challenging workshops and activities for those looking to explore conceptual as well as technical skills.
In addition to the freelance workshops completed in school settings, I am currently working with SEND children in a primary school where I find huge joy and excitement working with those just at the start of their blossoming creative journeys.
I have experience working with a diverse range of ages, support needs and experience levels so can cater to a wide scope of groups or individuals - please get in touch at katielock2@gmail.com if this sounds interesting to you!
I am currently based in Newcastle upon Tyne but happy to travel.
My full professional CV is available upon request.
